Review of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) by Alan D — 30 Dec 2015
Well who would have seen this coming? Guy Ritchie outdoes himself in this incredibly detailed, not even slightly painful rendition of a sixties classic TV series. I was really surprised and how fluid and enjoyable the whole process was.
if I were in one of my grouchy movie review moods it's reasonably likely that I could find some flat characters and some tedious dialogue ... But why bother when it was just such a good time from beginning to end irrespective of some really minor technical and character problems.
.. Oddly enough they were actually some focus issues which I don't remember the last time I saw that in a movie. There were two scenes very specifically where I actually rewound it just to make sure that it wasn't my old ailing eyes playing tricks on me.
I'm really hoping for a sequel. & I don't say that all the time.
