Review of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) by Brandon W — 23 Nov 2016
Style Over Substance. That's the best way I can describe this movie. I can remember the two main characters and how well they worked together in the movie and just how freaking cool this movie looks and feels.
I can't remember anything about the plot, who the villains were and what they wanted to do. So I'm torn on this. I didn't care about why these two men went on this mission or what they were after because the way they told the story was so clunky.
But what made this movie work was Henry Cavill as Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as Illya Kuryakin. Their chemistry on film was definitely there and they had some good laughs. The action scenes were also really fantastic except for one chase scene near the end where I was getting dizzy just by watching it.
Overall, I'd say this is a fun movie. If you are looking to see something and not take it too seriously, I'd say give it a chance.
