Review of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) by Jason M — 12 Apr 2017
The Man from U.N.C.L.E, is from the director of the newest Sherlock Holmes films. First of all, this film is very beautiful. Absolutely stunning eye visuals, superb lighting cinematography, and incredible set pieces.
This film is very stylish and sleek. However, this film has more style over substance. It tries to distract from an unremarkable story and reconnect for it's 60's spy genre films. But it has a very dull, uninteresting and cliche plot that never tries to detract from these.
Positive note, it has funny and great chemistry between Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer giving their finest performances. Overall, this film is a good throw back to the 60 and 70's spy flicks but adds up to uneven cliche action thriller with enough style over it's week substance.
