Review of The Man from Nowhere (2010) by Alan B — 17 Sep 2012
The Koreans really seem to have a flair for melodrama and the revenge genre. I'm generally not a fan of knife-related violence in film, but revenge movies invariably contain loads of slicing and slitting.
..this one is no different, though it's not as gory as other Korean revenge movies I've seen in recent memory. The plot, though multi-layered, is a tad predictable, but the movie as a melodramatic action flick is nonetheless cleverly choreographed and well-crafted.
