Review of The Man from Laramie (1955) by Bleak M — 04 Aug 2008
Possibly the least of the Mann/Stewart vehicles, yet still deeply strange and unpredictable for all that. Contains the infamous scene in which Stewart is shot point-blank in the hand, and it still shocks.
Arthur Kennedy does his usual fine job as a likable sleaze caught between his weak nature and events too large for him.
