Review of The Man from Elysian Fields (2001) by Suzette R — 30 May 2009

So, here's the thing. I wouldn't say this was a particularly bad movie, but I certainly wouldn't say it was a particularly good movie, either. I watched it because it had Julianna Margulies in it. I otherwise would never have given it a chance.

The film is slow, sometimes so painfully slow that you might want to rip your hair out. But there are enough witty and sometimes even thoughtful moments in it to make it worth watching. And if all else fails, skip towards the end, where the wonderfully talented Margulies goes off on her asshole husband!
