Review of The Man from Earth (2007) by Westleigh Q — 22 Jan 2014
What if one of your friends told you he was 14,000 years old? What if he wasn't lying? The Man From Earth is a low-budget, bottle film about a group of professors attending a going away party in a remote log cabin, only to find out that their colleague is leaving because he claims that he is immortal, and people are starting to notice he isn't aging.
Arguing that it's time for him to move on, and choosing to tell the truth to his colleagues, a philosophical debate ensues while the professors attempt to find out what is really happening before the night ends.
Points for being a thought-provoking film with a very interesting premise, but that's about it. Would love to see this movie made with a decent budget and better actors.
