Jim Carrey has amnesia, winds up in a town where he happens to look like a dead ww2 hero. Evades the McCarthy until his memory returns, argues communism isn't all that bad and saves the free world I guess.
Title of movie refers to an old run down theater he gets to live in cause the townspeople were idiots by coincidence.
