Review of The Majestic (2001) by Kristin C — 03 Apr 2008
I really like the movie sets. All of it. From the cinema to the small town, the production studio, and the bar he was having drinks when he was feeling so down.. when he moved on to the car there's a ferris wheel there! Even the bridge he was driving on when he (Jim Carrey) met with an accident.
Everything was so beautiful. But back to the story.. some parts were quite unrealistic, but that's why it's so lovely. It's one of the first few movies Jim Carrey wanted to start a more serious acting career and we give credits to him for that.
Some parts were slow but I think that's the 1950s nostalgia vibes we're getting.. the whole movie lasted 150++ mins.. It's good for me when I have nowhere to go in a foreign country on a business trip! Oops, I just noticed its released date happened on my birthday! OK I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
