Review of The Majestic (2001) by Matthew A — 16 May 2009
I very much enjoyed it. Frank Darabont knows how to bring about great ensembles and great performances. While it can't hope to surpass "Shawshank Redemption," the solid performances from everybody in the film make it what it is.
As with every Darabont movie, it seems that every "minor role" lives as if it's a "supporting one," as all ensemble pieces are. I find that my favorite moments in the movie are with the supporting cast.
Overall, I dug it. A little long, but I dug it.
