Review of The Majestic (2001) by Adam D — 12 Aug 2009
Overly melodramatic and not all that moving. Carrey has given much better performances in both comedies and dramas, and there's really nothing much here that you can't already guess from the trailer.
The beginning is pretty damn cool but once it becomes a hokey small-town story it loses a lot of its lustre.
