Equal parts heartwarming and sappy. This movie could be divided into 5 30-minute segments for review. The first half hour is strong and moves well with a good story. The next half hour drags in trying to set up the second part of the story.
The next hour is extremely heartwarming and enjoyable as they're able to build up the part of the story that is most important. The last half-hour drags the movie down miserably with a saccharine and self â" aggrandizing speech that tries to save the face of what didn't work in the first half hour.
The ending is a valiant attempt to draw the movie together⦠But doesn't necessarily work, and only succeeds in trying to give you the warm fuzzy to walk out of the theater with that you probably could've had 45 minutes earlier if they had not made it so long.
