Review of The Majestic (2001) by Miia K — 07 Jun 2008
A success. Apparently it's from the same stable as The Green Mile. I'm not convinced it's quite as good as that, but it's two hours and twenty minutes long, and it flies by nicely, which has to say something - surely? The plot's interesting.
The film's quite moving. The characters have sufficient depth. Jim Carrey -can- act, as it turns out (not even a hint of Ace Ventura here). It's well above average stuff, if not quite a classic.
