Instant classic! Sticking to the original story in "The Seven Samurai," this version has elements from every race present in America in that age. No, it didn't get politically correct. The bonding between the men before during and after battles was masterfully done.
..their characters were fleshed out enough for any audience to appreciate, considering the limited amount of time a 2 hour movie can afford. I'll probably buy this one on DVD when it comes out...maybe buy several copies for my overseas friends who love American Westerns.
Top shelf acting, stunts, costumes, writing and characters. I would love to take some of the movie critics out to a paintball range and light them up--repeatedly, for their sniveling reviews of this movie.
