The Magnificent Seven from 1960 with Yul Bryner is one of the best western movies ever made. There were sequels but they were never as good as the first one. This remake will Denzel Washington comes pretty close though.
The names have been changed and it's a mining town in trouble instead of a Mexican village but it's the same idea. Seven men selflessly risk their lives to fight an evil man and his gang of thugs.
A lot of big names in this film like Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt among others. There's even a Chinese character as one of the Magnificent Seven.
