Review of The Magnificent Seven (2016) by Papadrew7 — 01 Oct 2016
This movie was just awful from the writing, to the sets/props that obviously look like were made in the 21st century, to how ridiculously clean everyone is for the time period. I mean this movie wants us to believe that a bunch of criminals lead by a black man in the 1800's would band together to defend a meaningless town filled with strangers just for the goodness of their hearts? The movie was way too long by the way and I seriously contemplated leaving after I was bored to death and realized I had another hour of this pathetic excuse of a movie.
The score reflects that at least the finale was mildly entertaining but for the most part the shootouts just were not done well at all. If you are going to make a movie about cowboys killing each other at least do the time piece solid and make the shootouts realistic with rated R blood/gore you would expect after a man is shot multiple times with a gatling gun.
