Review of The Magnificent Seven (2016) by Tropicaces — 22 Sep 2016
The cast is impressive, but every person besides Denzel Washington is a (distracting) cartoon character. The entire first half of the film is a narrative that does not build to anything, it's just a recruiting and then suddenly they're preparing for the final fight which turns out to be a 45 minute long shoot-em-up of rapidfire edited killings of nameless bad guys.
It had potential to be great, but it seemed to settle for "meh, fine.
