The Magnificent Seven was a really good movie. Almost everything, from the acting to the action to the story was all entertaining and a joy to watch. The only thing that keeps this movie down at all is that it is very predictable, with no surprises even for someone who hasn't seen the original.
They also could have maybe done a bit more world building, but overall it was a fine movie that I would recommend renting.
