Review of The Magnificent Seven (2016) by L Troy A — 04 Dec 2016
The cast do a decent job bringing their characters to life, but the movie itself lacked the heart of the originals. I found the action scenes were a bit drawn out and began feeling more like battle sequences than individual shootouts.
This I did not like. Westerns are all about short, intense gun fights, not drawn out battles. I also did not care for the revelation about Denzel's character at the end of the film. For me it did not add anything.
