I had high hopes for this one. It stared actors such as Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawk, and more. It is the remake of the original, which is a remake of Seven Samurai.

I was convinced by the trailers and the cast, so I had a certain amount of hype to it, and it didn't disappoint. The Magnificent Seven was a very fun and entertaining film. The characters were well developed, the direction was good, the cinematography was good as well. I liked it.

It wasn't necessarily made to be treated as a masterpiece, but it meant to be treated as a fun time at the movies. The acting was OK I guess. The story was your typical western movie plot. There were some times when it gets a little dull. For those reasons, this isn't the type of movie that I would watch over and over again, but I can still bear to sit through it every once in a while.

It knows what it is though, and it knows that it has those flaws, but it is still a decently crafted film. Not one that would necessarily go down in the history books, but one that someone can watch because their bored. Whoever that 'someone' may be, it might be you.

With a film like this, there's no telling who that 'someone' may be.

Over all, it wasn't bad, it wasn't fantastic, it was more on the good side though. 4/5 stars.
