Three great stars of the 1940's combine in this cheaply made Lassie film. Stewart and Rooney are very good and while she isn't at the top of her game, Lassie is okay too. Nice to see Mike Mazurki, Alice Faye and Gene Evans along the way too.
Rooney even has a song!
