Review of The Magic Christian (1969) by Tom D — 18 Jun 2007
I am a sucker for 1960s excess, and thus The Magic Christian shall always have a special place in my heart. Having since read the Terry Southern novel on which it was based, however, I hope that a straight, unadorned version of this story makes it to film some day.
Indeed, Peter Sellers may have delivered the ultimate characterization of eccentricity in his Guy Grand.
