Review of The Magic Christian (1969) by Vilan A — 01 Oct 2007
Oh my god. A surreal experience. This is worth a see only for the cameos, such as Yul Brunner as a transvestite or John Cleese as an arrogant snob (right up his ally). Its bizarre and enterteining, although not as hysterically funny as one would presume.
It's not very easy to get used to Ringo Starr as an actor, but Peter Sellers makes up for it. Polanski should stick to directing though. One of the grossest yet comical scenes ever at the end of the movie.
