Review of The Magdalene Sisters (2002) by Erin K — 10 Jul 2006
The horrible lives of the girls are like a trainwreck from which you cannot look away. It's heart-wrenching and leaves you hating the church and society, yet the girls' perserverance and ultimate success in freeing themselves makes for one of those inspirational "surviving against all odds" type of movies (à la Shawshank).
