Review of The Magdalene Sisters (2002) by Paolo D — 08 Nov 2008
Interesting film about a very disturbing period in Irish and Catholic history. The film itself is well done, the actors are convincing, and there are many extremely sad stories to be told. I just didn't find myself becoming too emotionally involved in it.
Still, I give it four stars. Also, I can't believe the last "laundry" only closed in 1996. Oh what horrors exist in the name of so-called righteousness.
