A film well worth searching for even if you can only find it on the Hulu small screen. A wonderfully acted expose/indictment of the infamous Magdalen Laundries of Ireland which lasted well into the 20th century.
An eye opening treatise on the ill treatment of Irish women - more like the 15th century than the 20th. And, of course, another wonderful example of the role of religion in the ills of this world - in this case, the Catholic church.
The greed, the pain, the angst, the sadness and despair - all fully exposed in this wonderful commentary on Irish life.
