Review of The Madness of King George (1994) by Daniel H — 21 Aug 2007
Not a bad film by any measure, with excellent performances from Nigel Hawthorne and Ian Holm, despite a serious under use of Helen Mirrens acting talent, but the obligatory Hollywood ending spoilt the film for me as when it finished I was sure George III ultimately went permanently mad and a quick internet search proved this to be correct, although the film finishes after his first of three bouts of madness.
