Review of The Machinist (2004) by Rudy L — 14 Aug 2011
Well I finally got around to see this film and I'm glad I did. Bale's performance is simply OUTSTANDING. As other reviewers have said, you feel for Trevor's character without any attempt at pleading on the character's side.
I'm still not completely sure I 100% get the film, but I get it enough to know it is a great movie overall. The film really does give a salute to Hitchcock in the way it put together. I love movies with recurring themes and this one is chock-full of them.
