Review of The Machinist (2004) by Elliott S — 04 Sep 2011

I bought this film with high hopes but it let me down. It was clearly dull visually, but the story acted accordingly as well. The ever inevitable twist was not very shocking and by the time it got to it I didn't really care. This kind of film is usually right up my street but I genuinely felt this film was pretty unoriginal and can't see why it's been so highly rated.

Christian bale was good (not his best performance by any means) and some of the camera work was cool but this to me was instantly forgettable... I don't know what I missed..?
