Review of The Machinist (2004) by Joel C — 14 Jun 2012
The Machinist, suffice it to say, is strange. I particularly enjoy these psychological thrillers, but this film wasn't all that spectacular. It definitely wasn't horrible, but it has been done on countless occasions before it and most were crafted much better.
The biggest reasoning behind watching this is Christian Bale's extraordinarily committed performance. It as an overall fairly well executed film and a sufficient thriller.
