Review of The Machine (2013) by Brice B — 06 Jul 2014
Take Robocop, Blade Runner, Screamers, I robot... Mix all, remove creativity and talent: you get "The Machine".
Back to the 80ies with all the 80ies clichés, even starring Dirty Harry! Not only Tobby Stevens looks like Clint Eastwood but he has exactly the same haircut and looks, so it looks really odd when he has to play a professor with 3 PHDs.
The research facility spends millions of Pounds to make an Android that looks like a woman and they don't find any more original name than to call it "machine".
It ends up with a Terminator type ending where the machines and Cyborgs are going to take over (the question is why the hell? But the movie is over).
It's also the mix between wannabe CGIs (We've seen it in Terminator II 15 years ago) and "crappy" labs: all the money goes to developing Robots so they don't have any money left for a janitor or even doors!
