This film borrows from science fiction of old in terms of aesthetics and concepts. However, it seems to do so in it's own fresh way. Unfortunately, it never fully stands on it's own on account of a subpar plot.
It can never decide to be a fun action driven film or a cerebral thriller. The movie still offered a lot of cool moments and concepts. If you are a sci-fi fan, don't miss it.
