Review of The Lunchbox (2013) by Abdullah Y — 24 Aug 2014
A tale of the harsh realities of life interspersed with tender what-ifs, even if fleetingly. Many things pointed to the huge cultural divide between Mumbai and the rest of the world and reminded me of my personal experiences of working with Indians (from India).
I liked the pregnant pauses although there were a tad too many. The movie would have been nicer if it were shorter.
