Review of The Lunchbox (2013) by Borhan K — 30 Aug 2014
The Lunch Box is a dramatic romance that revolves around the lunch delivery guys in Mumbai.
The romance start between a woman in a loveless marriage with a cheating husband that really does not play a significant role in the movie and a man that gets the lunches she makes for her husband sent to him.
They converse through love letters sent to each other on a daily basis.
I have to say I thought this movie was the English Indian cross movie with Meryl Streep in it and I was wrong I was getting nowhere fast with my mum cause she was like this is not that movie. However mum said don't worry lets watch it and we did I had issues following the dialogue but mym would translate where I would get stuck most of the language was spoken in Hindi. If you are going to watch this movie don't do it like I did watch it with subtitles.
Irfan Khan & Nimrat Kaur played really well and you really wished them to get together.
This is not a Bollywood production there is no song and dance in this movie it is a straight story.
I enjoyed it. It was something different a story with a little spice.
Kids can watch this but it can be a tad boring.
It goes on I would say 20mins too long...
