If you loved the book, or even read the book, be prepared to be disappointed. Only the character's names are the same. Much of the plot in the book is absent, it's set in a completely different state, and all the important details (down the what is written on the back of the picture) are wrong.
Watch the movie before you read the book, but if you've already read the book, be prepared for something completely different.
