Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Valeria P — 07 Jan 2012
I read the book a long time ago, and what I remember of the book was heart wrenching. This movie doesn't get more stars from me because it manages to be just lukewarm, even with such dramatic topic.
The visuals are stunning and the actors have solid performances, but the sum of the parts don't add up to a outstanding whole. Also, it would have benefited from some editing, and chopping at least 20 min off of it.
