Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Matthew Y — 03 Mar 2012
This film is Susie Salmon's story of how she was murdered and her father's obsession to finding the killer. As the movie continues the family unit begins to crumble an Susie is trapped in what can only be described as surreal dream scenery or the inbetween as her brother calls it.
She watches the world that she was dismissed from keeping an eye on her family as their lives pan out. She discovers that she wasn't the only girl that he has killed and so she tries to send signals back home about his identity.
This movie is beautifully shot and the inbetween scenes are phenomenally produced thanks to Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg teaming up. Give it a watch as it is very imaginative!
