Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Clayton R — 25 Jun 2012
Its characters are way too single-minded, it's overly fast-paced & it gravely suffers from the altering tone and grinding emotional shifts, never seeming to blend as one whole movie. Even so, its story worth telling, focused acting, wispy narration by its lead, stirring (yet unmemorable) score and mostly, the imaginative, bionic imagery make this a beautiful depiction of the afterlife, even if a flawed one.
