Review of The Lovely Bones (2009) by Mike M — 24 Mar 2016
I see the critics don't "get" this movie. They miss the whole juxtaposing of the beauty of the afterlife with the raw reality of life. It is suppose to make you think, make you question your beliefs and ponder the afterlife, if there is one.
The whole notion of an afterlife does not really jive with how life really is. So, the movie puts that to you and makes you think about it in a new and different way.
Kudos to Jackson for not following the typical scripted crap about people being ghosts.
I liked it.
