Review of The Lovebirds (2020) by Codejbda — 22 Jun 2020
The game is a disappointing excursion into a world devoid of the magic that made the first game so wonderful, namely moments exploring the character interactions and relationship between Joel and Ellie.
The game chooses to avoid the obvious story that we all expected--the story that would have been more challenging to write due to our expecting it, but much more rewarding if they had the talent to pull it off--and chooses instead to go off and wallow in a grotesque landscape that is like something written for the Onion.
