It's like they dug this screenplay out of cold storage after Doris Day and Cary Grant turned it down. I love an old fashioned comedy, but this movie isn't just out of date, it's out of touch.
Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson have more fun with the material than they ought to be having, which does save it from being a complete waste of time.
