Review of The Love Guru (2008) by Tim F — 20 Mar 2010
First off, I think Mike Myers is hilarious. Maybe not as much as Jim Carrey or Will Ferrel, but he has his good moments. I have to admit that when this film first came out and I saw the trailers it looked a little dumb and I was not enthused to see it. But when it got going I kinda got hooked and fell into all the stupid jokes that he makes in all his films.
I don't really care for Jessica Alba, I think she is an atrocious actress and doesn't really have any skill whatsoever, but you can't really do anything about that when she is in a film that you are watching, except ignore it.
I really am beginning to like the actor Romany Malco. When I first saw him in "Weeds" I knew that he had some talent and am happy that he is slowly transiting into films.
There are some really funny lines and skits in this film, that is what I was really looking for when I watched this.
But, if you see it, don't forget to watch the bloopers, they are always the best part of the film.
Plus, you can never go wrong with some added Bollywood dancing! Love it!
