Fun Disney fare with a VW Käfer that has a mind of its own. Probably inspired the Dudu series in Germany. Jones and Hackett contrast each other nicely, with Hackett a believer in Herbie, the VW with a soul.
Spawned sequels and even a TV series, so influential in that respect. Good children’s movie, but by today’s standards, not as charming as the Pixar entries.
