Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Abdulaziz A — 31 Mar 2018
This film throws out most of what was in the book in favor of a more dark, intense, sci-fi epic that the first actually should've become. With that in mind, it does suffer from a screenplay with a confusing narrative, having a hard time explaining how and when certain events occurred.
Not only that, but they leave out the social commentary altogether that made this franchise important to begin with. Overall, this film is a more adult-oriented thrill ride but it just misses the mark to become a truly superior sequel to the first.
