Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Steve S — 20 Oct 2012
It may be unfair to compare this solely to its predecessor, but guess what? "Jurassic Park" is in the title, so I can't help but compare them. In humanizing the dinosaurs, they lose the fear-inducing moments of the first film.
Here, the dinosaurs are just zoo animals...with really big teeth. The story is weak, too. It's like...Ian Malcolm & crew hate the Hunters, but they don't fight them enough to justify any vitriol.
The story is just one long obstacle course.
