Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Judge L — 17 Jun 2015
Some of the humans were able to escape Jurassic Park as its prehistoric denizens ran amok, but those dinosaurs are still around and plenty of other people are looking for ways to exploit their renewed existence.
I feel that The Lost World gets more grief than it deserves. The awe-inspiring novelty of CGI dinosaurs has worn off and the storytelling abilities of this movie are lesser than that of its predecessor, but the film does have a few memorable scenes and several moments of sheer spectacle.
As a whole, it won't be an utter failure to those who don't expect much more than dinosaurs causing trouble.
