Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Luke M — 22 Jan 2015
I think, Spielberg wants to make a multi-setting theme for "The Lost World" adventure this time around. More like a grandest spectacle, with more suspense and more adventure. First half would be in the jungle and the other half would be in the city where chaos happens.
We all know, Jurassic Park is known for its epic and memorable scenes from the wildlife park of breathtaking views of dinosaurs, and the clever dialogues that made us think and learn as well. It has all the adventure and fun ride thriller, but, it's just all about that.
Running, chased by dinosaurs, running again, and more dinosaur chasing scenes. Sadly, it's getting repetitive sometimes. In short, it is very over the top than its predecessor. CGI is not bad, robotics are still there which is a good thing.
Cinematography still impressed me as expected from a Spielberg adventure flick. Nevertheless, it has lost its touch, but still an enjoyable one. 3 stars out of 5.
