Review of The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) by Jamie P — 07 Mar 2015
The Lost World is the most forgettable part of the Jurassic Park franchise to date. Its corny, predictable and daft. The original was scary because of its drama, the tension and despite being scientifically impossible, it still seemed like it was real.
The Lost World jacks that and the premise is totally bonkers and feels forced. The cast reflected this with a air of humour and relaxed attitude despite what was happening, this ruined it for me a little.
However, there is lots of action and a couple of new ideas, it just lost its wonder. The movie still looked great and has a couple of breathtaking scenes but was never as good as its predecessor from the moment it started.
