Review of The Lost Boys (1987) by James O — 29 May 2011
Good: Fun movie and story, good filming.
Bad: Plain acting, bad effects.
A movie about a mother and her two children who move out to California. But what they didn't realize, is that the town is infested with vampires! In the beginning of the movie I was mainly thinking about how bad the effects were. As the story progresses it will get more interesting. The gang of vampires provides the most entertainment in the film. Kiefer Sutherland, who plays David, really shows the vampires as a blood sucking, adrenaline -junkie group. Whether it's their motorcycle rides through the woods, or their jumping off of bridges. The acting is O.K, nothing spectacular but it is bearable. The costumes are obviously 80's, especially on Sam(Corey Haim). The filming of the movie will really catch your eye, it finds a way of making the movie more exciting. The camera takes many 1st person views such as flying vampires and motorcycle rides.
