Review of The Lost Boys (1987) by Jillian L — 21 Jun 2015
So this is one of those cult movies that I'm supposed to have seen by now but haven't gotten around to it. Well, I got cast in a gender flipped parody of it so I needed to get on it and figure out what I had gotten myself into.
Anyway, I thought it was fun. Super campy, kind of cheesy, everything an 80s movie should be. The big fight scene at the end was disgustingly amazing. It was also really fun seeing how young those actors were. Kiefer Sutherland, Dianne Wiest, Corey Feldman, Edward Herrmann (RIP). There was definitely some eye rolling happening at certain points (like Star's entire character) and some parts were a little slow, but overall, this is big dumb fun.
